London Chocolate Trip

A day out in London ! Hurrah ! Under the pretence of research (really it was a research, but still a lots of fun !) I headed off to London to visit Speciality and Fine Food Fair at Olympia. This was a trade show only, so I had my ticket in advance and also had the chance to plan which stall to visit. (Precise military operation, you see...)

There was so much to see and I can't remember, whether I ever enjoyed 'work fair' that much before. I tasted some lovely single origin chocolates (Java is currently my favourite) and some completely new ones - caramelised white chocolate. The time went so quickly, filled with discussions about holding tanks, tempering machines and the best natural oils to use in ganache. I went home very happy, day dreaming about the next flavour I'm going to try in my chocolate truffles.

My current chocolate collection, full of summery light flavours like Ginger & Lime or Elderflower Glory is on my own website: www.cocoaandheart.co.uk and soon to be available on one of the large handmade websites (more on that later...)

If you are after more inspiration, why not pop along to Handmade Monday and check what everyone else has been up.
